We spent New Years Eve at Qasr al Sarab in the Western Region of Abu Dhabi. The resort is nestled in the dunes in what is known as "The Empty Quarter" for what you will see is an obvious reason. I climbed the largest dune next to the resort (c.200ft) to see the sunset. I then took the easy route down again!

No-one seems too concerned that the flames are licking there cars next to it!
